Roxy Surfing History and Logo’s
Quiksilver, Inc is based in Huntington Beach, California. It is one of the world’s most known surfing brands and the largest manufacturers surfwerar and boardsport related equipment. Hokusai’s woodcut inspired the logo, it consists of a large wave with a mountain with a red background. Over the years Roxy has became very popular among the younger generation of surfers.
Quiksilver also markets a line for young girls and woman. This surfing brand is called Roxy, it is named after the daughter of one of the founders of Quiksilver. The Roxy logo consists of two copies of the original Quiksilver logo, one reflected which forms a heart. Quiksilver also owns Skis Rossignol. Quiksilver previously owned a golf-equipment maker Cleveland Golf until it was sold to a Japanese sporting goods company in October 31, 2007.
