The best time to go surfing in Ireland is during the winter, these months consist of September to May. Some reefs in Ireland can hold swell up to 15ft. Surfing in Ireland can get just as good and consistent as surfing in Australia, but the only down side is that the cold water and wind makes a shiver down your back. Make sure you bring a nice winter wetsuit if you want to surf in Ireland.
If you are considering to go surf in Ireland make sure you head to Donegal Bay, Lahinch, Portrush area and we guarantee you its nearly good as anywhere else when there is swell.
